Kuzmenko and Antonenko want to extend arrest for another two months – activists
The suspects in the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet, a doctor and volunteer Yulia Kuzmenko and musician Andrei Antonenko (Riffmaster), received a petition to extend their detention for an additional 2 months.

“Earlier, in the IVS, Andrei Antonenko and Yulia Kuzmenko received requests to close the preliminary investigation and a request to extend the detention for an additional 2 months, to our knowledge, there is no new evidence, “said the statement. .
The activists also noted that they were preparing for May 25 at 19:00 an action in the office of the president, “where we recall the responsibility of the president as guarantor of the Constitution”.

For its part, the Free Kuzmenko Facebook community confirmed that Kuzmenko had received a petition to extend the length of his detention by an additional 60 days and a message concerning the completion of the preliminary investigation and that an action is planned under the Guardianship of the President on May 25.
As indicated, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov announced on December 12, 2019 the detention and the suspicion of the accused in the case of the murder of Sheremet. In particular, the investigation suspects the doctor and volunteer Yulia Kuzmenko, the nurse of one of the paratrooper battalions Yan Dugar and the ATO veteran Andrei Antonenko.
Kuzmenko and Antonenko are now in prison. Dugar was elected as a preventive measure in the form of a night arrest.

On May 21, lawyer Leonid Maslov said that the investigation into the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet had changed the suspicions of Andrei Antonenko and Yulia Kuzmenko. Subsequently, the media reported that Dugar had also changed the suspicion.
On May 22, another lawyer for Dugar, Nikolai Orekhovsky, informed that the preliminary investigation into the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet had ended.
