Lyashko explained how quarantine helps doctors

The quarantine measures introduced so far allow the Ukrainian health system to cope with the burdens linked to the number of patients with coronavirus.

This was announced on Sunday during a briefing by Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.

“The measures we have introduced show that the dynamics in which we are currently monitoring the number of cases of coronavirus, as well as other pneumonias of viral and bacterial origin, allow the Ukrainian health system to face the burden”, said Lyashko.

Asked about the peak of the epidemic in Ukraine, he said he did not want to mislead anyone with a sense of security, the incidence rate depends solely on the Ukrainians themselves.

“When we introduced quarantine, we assumed that during this period, growth and peak incidence of coronaviruses were expected. We introduced it in a timely manner to prevent the increase in the number of patients likely to fall sick at the same time. Therefore, we are doing everything possible to keep the peak of the epidemic as small as possible. and less time to reduce the number of people needing resuscitation at the same time, this will give us the opportunity to save the lives of Ukrainians and reduce the burden on the health system to get through the coronavirus epidemic, “said Lyashko.

According to him, quarantine measures have been introduced precisely to reduce the incidence of coronaviruses in Ukraine and to reduce other influenza pneumonia.
