Reported suspicion of a former employee of the special forces regiment “Berkut”, subordinate to the main management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kiev, who participated in the events of February 20, 2014 in the street. Institute.

It should be noted that the involvement of the “ex-Berkutovets” was established with a reasonable justification for the suspicions thanks to ballistic experts from the Kharkiv Institute for Scientific and Forensic Research named after SP. Bocarius.

Since the suspect is hiding from the preliminary investigation bodies and the court, the message concerning the suspicions was transmitted in the manner prescribed by the Code of Criminal Procedure for the transmission of messages, if it was impossible to deliver it directly the day of establishment.

“Currently, the search for the suspect is organized,” added the prosecution.

As reported, during Euromaidan, 2.5 thousand people were injured, 104 people died.

According to the Interior Ministry, from February 18 to March 2, 2014, 17 security officials also died while on duty in central Kiev.
