Today, April 30, a videoconference was held between the foreign ministers of the four Norman countries. The results of the talks were released by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba. Kuleba noted that Ukraine’s position on resolving the Donbas conflict has remained unchanged, and is supported by Germany and France. According to Kuleba, Ukraine is ready to continue the dialogue, but it will strictly respect the “red lines”.

“Our position has remained unchanged and is fully supported by the partners of Germany and France, only in our TKG, in which Russia is present – as an aggressor country, Ukraine – as a state who defends aggression and the OSCE – as a mediator remains a mechanism for mutually acceptable decisions which should lead us to end the war and the occupation of our territory, “said the Minister.

Kuleba noted that during the negotiations, his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov had tried to move the center of the negotiations. According to the Ukrainian minister, Lavrov raised the question of creating an advisory council and said that Ukraine should conduct direct negotiations with Ordlo.

In turn, the Ukrainian minister said that Ukraine is ready to enter into direct dialogue with the inhabitants of the occupied territories, but that it will never sit at the negotiating table with Russian mercenaries.

According to the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the issue of security in the occupied territory of Donbas. The minister said the parties should discuss the Donbass ceasefire as part of the TKG negotiations.

“Today, we mainly discussed security issues, which shows once again that any political discussion in the” Norman format “is primarily based on the principle of” security “. We agreed that the TKG should discuss the details of a comprehensive ceasefire as soon as possible and determine a date by which such a ceasefire will be introduced, “said the Minister.

In addition, the Minister noted that diplomats raised another very important issue – the situation of coronavirus in the occupied territories.

The Foreign Ministers of Ukraine, Germany, France and the Russian Federation also discussed the work of the OSCE in the occupied territories, the payment of pensions to ORLDO residents and the exchange of prisoners.

It should be noted that the ministers discussed the issue of the settlement of the conflict in the Donbass for an hour and a half.
