The agro-industrial holding company of Mironovsky Hleboproduct advocates a just punishment for its employees, one of whom fired and the other overthrew a cyclist, but asked the media to refrain from “public convictions” until the end of investigation.
This is stated in comments from the MHP press service to Ukrinform.
“MHP is an operation that provides work for approximately 30,000 Ukrainians in 14 areas of presence. MHP treats each member of the team with great confidence and, with that, high demands and responsibilities. MHP treats its employees honestly, as well as everyone from Ukraine, which is why we are reporting two unpleasant incidents in recent days with the participation of our representatives, “said the report.
According to the press service, on April 11, an employee of one of the holding companies, who was driving, collided with a cyclist. The incident occurred in the Ternopil region near the village of Turovka. “The cyclist was intoxicated while he was in the hospital, there is no threat to his life. The representative of the MHP was sober,” insisted the MHP.
The second incident also occurred on April 11, but already in Kiev. “An employee of the holding company committed an act which is considered by the police to be hooliganism using weapons – a shot at a car window. The event caused wide media coverage”, said the press service.

MHP notes that all citizens of Ukraine are equal before the law and thanks the police for their fast and professional work. “The companies of the holding company are open to cooperation and will provide all the necessary information. At the same time, we ask you to refrain from biased public appreciation of these events, as well as from” public condemnations “until the end of the investigation, “said the holding company.
According to reports, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Anton Gerashchenko said on April 13 that a former police officer, an employee of the MHP holding company, had been arrested in the capital, who had fired on the road on April 11.
According to Gerashchenko, this man, driving a Range Rover car along Naberezhnoye Shosse in Kiev, decided that the driver of a BMW car gave him no driving advantage. So he caught up with BMW and pulled into the right window of the front door. The BMW driver was not injured – a bullet passed.
The deputy minister said the suspect has so far been charged with gun hooliganism, “but if, during the investigation, it turns out that his shot could be fatal for citizen B., then the charge could be reclassified to section 115 – attempted murder “.
