Ministry of Health – Zelensky: Antibody tests could start next week
Ukrainian Health Minister Maxim Stepanov has informed President Volodymyr Zelensky that the ministry is preparing to approve the mass ELISA diagnostic algorithm to detect antibodies against COVID-19 coronary infections.
According to the press service of the head of state, this was discussed at a traditional meeting to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
“According to the head of the health ministry, if everything goes as planned, the antibody tests can start next week,” the message said.
Stepanov also added that already 12 regions of Ukraine have paid 100% of the salary bonuses for the month of March to doctors struggling with coronavirus. The other regions make the final calculations. In some regions, allocations for April are beginning, in particular the Chernivtsi Regional Center for Emergency Medicine and Disaster Medicine has already received about 19 million UAH.
“I will keep the issue of supplements for doctors under control until the last doctor who fights coronavirus receives his compensation for such hard and responsible work,” said Zelensky.

The Head of State is traditionally informed of the situation in the area where the joint forces operation is taking place. In particular, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ruslan Khomchak, said that 78 tonnes of humanitarian aid from the International Committee of the Red Cross had been transported the previous day to the occupied territories.
