Minveteranov urges to refrain from mass events on May 8-9
The Department of Veterans Affairs urges citizens to refrain from organizing and attending mass events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation.
This was reported by the ministry’s press service.
“Traditionally, on May 8 and 9, we remember terrible pages of history, visit memorials and congratulate veterans. However, right now the whole world is trying to defeat the coronavirus pandemic, quarantine measures are continuing in Ukraine and the elderly, especially veterans, are at risk, “said the report.
The ministry called for refraining from organizing and attending public events dedicated to these dates. And they also turned to the families of the veterans to ask them to protect their loved ones and contribute to their self-isolation during quarantine.
