Mitigation of quarantine canceled in two regions – Ministry of Health
Ukraine’s chief medical officer of health Viktor Lyashko said that in the Volyn and Donetsk regions, quarantine cancellations have been canceled due to an increase in the number of COVID-19 diseases.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
“Due to the increase in the number of COVID-19 diseases over the past week, the Volyn and Donetsk regions have canceled the measures previously introduced to weaken quarantine. In particular, kindergartens and hotels have been closed, sporting and religious events are banned. The intercity bus service has been suspended in the Donetsk region, “- the message said.
It is noted that in the Kovel and Vladimir-Volyn districts of the Volyn region, due to the difficult epidemic situation, compliance with the strict quarantine requirements is maintained without any relief.

In addition, inter-city and inter-regional transport stops, which circulate in transit, are prohibited in these areas, and the passenger embarkation and disembarkation railway stations are closed.
“We see that adaptive quarantine works. In areas where the epidemic situation is difficult, quarantine measures have not been relaxed. And those who do not meet the criteria take the decision to strengthen them. This demonstrates the responsibility of local authorities, “said Viktor Lyashko.
In particular, the city of Kiev and the Zhytomyr region have decided not to introduce a weakening of the quarantine, scheduled for June 5 and 10. In these regions, the opening of catering establishments and other institutions offering accommodation services (inns, motels, rest homes) has been suspended.
