MKIP hopes to resume spending on cultural and information policy after quarantine

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy anticipates that after the completion of the quarantine introduced in connection with the spread of the coronavirus epidemic, it will be possible to fully restore the expenditure of the budget of the ‘State for Culture and Information Policy.

The MKIP also thanked all the concerned representatives of the cultural community who actively defended their civic position and joined the support of the sphere, as well as the cultural institutions which immediately reacted to the situation which would lead to a crisis in the cultural sphere. .

At the same time, the ministry recalled that, according to the amendments to the state budget adopted by the Parliament, the expenditure relating to the MKIP for 2020 has been approved in the amount of 8.16 billion hryvnia.

Among these funds, in particular to ensure the functioning of the Ukrainian Cultural Fund, including the implementation by the Fund of project support activities, 400.8 million hryvnia are provided, and to support the activities of the Ukrainian Book Institute, to support the publication and popularization of Ukrainian literature around the world. – 101.1 million hryvnias.
