This small country has become the first in Europe where new cases of COVID-19 have not been registered for almost a month.
On this subject, it is written “MFN” referring to “Radio liberty“.
On Tuesday June 2, the Montenegrin authorities officially announced that their country was no longer a coronavirus epidemic. As reported to the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro, for 28 consecutive days in the country, there have been no new cases of COVID-19
At WHO, Montenegro has already been praised for the successful fight against epidemics, but at the same time, it asked not to cancel the protective measures, because the coronavirus pandemic still terrorizes other countries of the world:
“We have to remember that the virus has not disappeared. Numerous studies have shown that there are many unregistered cases of infected people. Therefore, WHO recommends that citizens continue to be tested for coronavirus. “
It should be noted that during the period of the epidemic in Montenegro, 324 cases of coronavirus were recorded. Of these, 9 have been fatal and all other patients have already recovered.
Recall that we have already written about the situation of the coronavirus in Ukraine and in the world.
