Mortality from Covid-19 in Ukraine is 2.9%

The coronavirus mortality rate in Ukraine is now set at 2.9%.

This was reported on Facebook by the Center for Public Health.

“Now the death rate is 2.9%,” says the report.

In the COZ, 98 people died from complications from Covid-19, 79% of whom had serious cardiovascular disease, diabetes, tumors, kidneys, lungs and obesity.

In general, the proportion of diseases was (one or more):

cardiovascular – 74%, concomitant diseases – 29%, diabetes mellitus – 22%, pulmonary diseases – 9%, neoplasms – 8%, kidney diseases – 7%.

Eight of the deceased had a history of travel abroad in the past 14 days before the onset of clinical symptoms, and only one case was in close contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19. Among the dead – seven medical workers.

From the onset of symptoms to death, an average of 12 days has passed, shown in the cost center.

In addition, it should be noted that all the dead had a positive result of a laboratory test by PCR.

As reported by Ukrinform, as of April 14, 3,372 cases of Covid-19 had been laboratory confirmed in Ukraine, 98 of them were fatal, 119 patients have recovered. 270 new cases were registered per day.
