Moscow introduces mandatory self-isolation regime due to coronavirus

Today, the Moscow authorities have decided to introduce additional restrictive measures due to the situation with the coronavirus. Henceforth, for all residents of the capital and the Moscow region, from March 30, compulsory self-isolation will be effective. It will only be possible to leave their home in some cases, among them – asking for emergency medical care or if there is a direct threat to life and health, for travel to work if this cannot be suspended, shopping at the nearest store or pharmacy, or going on a trip to the bank, a communication lounge, pet walking no more than 100 meters from the house, as well as for removal garbage.

From tomorrow, the system of self-isolation at home is put in place for all the inhabitants of Moscow, whatever their age. In a week, an intelligent system to monitor compliance with the home system and the rules established for the movement of citizens will be deployed. Gradually, but regularly, we will tighten the necessary control in this situation,

– said the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin.

Recall that last week, President Vladimir Putin announced a long weekend from March 28 of nine days.
