National Council calls on broadcasters to join rally on May 25 Missing Children’s Day
The National Television and Radio Council reminds broadcasters that May 25 is International Day of the World’s Missing Children.
This is stated on the regulator’s website.
“The aim of the day is to draw public attention to the search for missing children, as well as to highlight the problems of violence against children. The National Council calls on broadcasters to join in the celebration of this day, ”said the report.
As the National Council recalled, for the first time in Ukraine, the International Day of Missing Children was celebrated last year on the initiative of the public organization Magnolia All-Ukrainian. An action was founded in which the television channels could participate, placing in the upper corner of the screens the symbol of this day – forget-me-nots. Last year, 10 Ukrainian TV channels joined this action.

Therefore, the National Council proposes to the broadcasting organizations on May 25 this year to support the Magnolia initiative and to pay more attention to the problems of the disappearance of children, their work and their sexual exploitation, protection of their rights, etc.
As previously mentioned, the forget-me-not image to be placed on the screens can be downloaded in different formats, the links of which are posted on the National Council’s website. Illustrations reproduced with the kind authorization of the NGO Magnolia.
