NBU launches remote access to credit registry

The National Bank of Ukraine plans to provide remote access to its credit registry. Now the applicant will be able to get the required information through the request of the registry search engine. Physical data verification will be done using the press service of the regulatory report, the NBU BankID system or Qualified Electronic Signature (CEP).

According to National Bank representatives, a person can sign an online application to obtain information from the credit registry with an electronic CEP, a legal entity with an electronic signature worthy of their head.

In addition, an application form for information from the credit registry can be provided on paper. To obtain such information by proxy, you must attach a copy of the document confirming the recipient’s authority with the application.

Comments and suggestions on draft amendments to the regulation on the National Bank’s Credit Register are accepted until June 21, 2020, to the postal or electronic address of the NBU.

Recall, last week, National Bank moved one of its services online. Now, applicants or potential applicants can contact the NBU with questions about the license, using a special form on the regulator’s website “Supply for licenses”.

In 2018, the National Bank created a centralized credit register, which collects information about borrowers’ credit operations, on which loans are more than 100 minimum wages to a bank. At present, the credit register has information of more than 75 thousand debtors – individuals (48 thousand) and legal (27 thousand) persons.
