No hospital or service in Ukraine can now be closed.

This was underscored by President Vladimir Zelensky after a daily conference call with government officials and government departments involved in preventing the spread of COVID-19, the press service said.

“We receive information about the closed regional children’s department and the closure of the tuberculosis dispensaries. During the period of the coronavirus epidemic, we are not allowed to close hospitals or stop funding. It would be brutal irresponsibility towards the Ukrainians, ”said Zelensky.

“The decrease in the number of coronavirus cases is the result of quarantine. We could have many more patients, as in European countries. Therefore, our measures were timely and correct, ”said the president.

As noted, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said at a meeting that over the past day, the percentage of those who have contracted coronavirus infection in Ukraine has decreased. In particular, out of 1319 recorded cases of the disease, 68 were detected during the last day, which is significantly less than in the previous days. Six people died from serious chronic illnesses.
