One-fifth of coronavirus patients in Ukraine are doctors

During the pandemic in Ukraine, 1,031 medical workers fell ill with coronavirus, which represents approximately one fifth of all patients.

This was announced at an information meeting on Sunday April 19, reports Health Minister Maxim Stepanov, a correspondent for Ukrinform.

“During the day, 343 people fell ill, including 26 children and 53 doctors. 97 people were hospitalized. 8 deaths were recorded. But the good news is that 72 people recovered, including 1 child and 12 doctors In general, just 5,449 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 358 children and 1,031 medical workers, “said Stepanov.

As Ukrinform reported earlier in the Ministry of Health, they said that due to the increased incidence of coronaviruses, doctors would be tested every five days.

In Ukraine, as of April 19, 5,449 cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed. Outpatient treatment is carried out on 3,617 patients, including 273 children. A total of 1,832 people were hospitalized, including 85 children. As a result of complications from the disease, 141 people died, including 75 men and 66 women. Among the dead, people over 50 (86%) predominate.
