The office of the President of Ukraine has agreed with TV stations that show the lessons of the All-Ukrainian School Online project that there will be no political plots during the broadcasts.

This was announced by the deputy head of the OPU Kirill Timoshenko in the comment “Media Detector”.

The publication notes that, in particular, blogger Sergei Naumovich on Facebook on April 6 announced that the television channel ZIK had broadcast announcements of Viktor Medvedchuk and his party “Opposition Platform – For Life” before the start of television lessons , and asked the OPU to respond. Blogger Roman Shrike spoke of a similar situation on 112 Ukraine.

Kirill Timoshenko discussed this incident with a representative from the ZIK channel. “About 10 to 15 minutes before the start of the television lessons, they had a sort of political plot. We asked how we agreed with them at the outset so there was no policy – they confirmed, apologized. And then there will be no more politics, ”he said.

Tymoshenko said these agreements apply to all channels.

He also denied reports that the OPU is planning to hold a meeting with the leaders of “112 Ukraine”, ZIK and NewsOne. “We have a group where there are all the channels, all the editors and managers who highlight the channels of all the groups. Like any television production, the production takes place there, problems are solved there, problems of online school are posed, etc. It makes no sense for us to meet someone, there are no questions, ”he added.

On April 6, 2020, the All-Ukrainian School Online project was launched, in which video lessons in 11 subjects for students in grades 5 to 11 will be published. The broadcasts broadcast 11 television channels: Plus Plus, 112 Ukraine, NewsOne, Pixel, ZIK, UNIAN TB, Indigo, Rada, UA Culture, UA: Pershiy, M1 and “Dom” television channel (for students from the occupied territories) and Megogo media service. Students will also be able to watch these lessons on Facebook and YouTube.
