Over $ 15 billion allocated to healthcare facilities that treat patients with coronavirus
The medical institutions that treat patients with coronavirus have received 15.8 billion hryvnia.
This was announced during a briefing by Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“In general, almost 15.8 billion hryvnias have been allocated to medical institutions that treat patients with coronavirus,” said Stepanov.
He noted that starting in April, doctors will receive payment for services in the COVID-19 packages adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers, which provides for a 300 percent increase in salaries.

“Already in this package, this tariff stipulates that supplements are paid taking into account a salary of 300 percent. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the tariffs for these services. The NSZU (National Health Service of Ukraine – ed .) Declares that he is ready to conclude transactions, and at the beginning of May, all funds according to April calculations will be paid, “said Stepanov.
He recalled that the approved rates include additional supplements, benefits of up to 300 percent of salary in accordance with the law. Patients also receive full medicines and medical devices.
As noted, the Verkhovna Rada at a special meeting on March 30 passed a law that established a 300% surcharge on the salaries of doctors involved in the elimination of infectious coronavirus disease.
As of May 2, 11,411 cases of COVID-19 incidence have been confirmed in Ukraine, 550 new cases per day.
