Over 40% of Ukrainians think the country is “coming together” – KIIS
Almost half of the Ukrainians who participated in the KIIS survey think that the country is developing and the other half are convinced that life here becomes unbearable.
KIIS deputy director Anton Grushetsky said this, presenting at a press conference the results of a pan-Ukrainian representative study of public opinion “Socio-political orientations of the population of Ukraine”, reports a correspondent from Ukrinform.
“47% of those questioned think that Ukraine is developing slowly but is turning into a developed state. At the same time, 46% chose the opposite view that Ukraine is stagnating and life is becoming more and more unbearable, “said Grushetsky.
According to him, 40.8% of those questioned think that Ukraine, as a country, “fits together”, goes through unification, and 46.1% have the opposite opinion.

At the same time, 43.7% of the participants in this study expressed the opinion that the most important thing for Ukraine is the independence and integrity of its borders, and 34.5% are convinced that the well-being of its citizens is more important.
According to the survey, 29.6% of respondents believe that it is important for Ukraine to win the war, and 49.1% – that the economy must first be developed.
Kiev From April 26 to 30, 2020, the International Institute of Sociology in Kiev conducted a CATI (computer-assisted telephone interview) survey based on a random selection of mobile phone numbers. The purpose of the study was to study the domestic and foreign policy directions of the citizens of Ukraine and to know the current presidential and party ratings.
The sample is representative of the adult population (aged 18 years and over) of Ukraine. The sample does not include the territories temporarily outside the control of the Ukrainian authorities – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, certain regions of Donetsk and the regions of Lugansk. The survey conducted 1,500 interviews. The statistical error of the sample (with a probability of 0.95 and without taking into account the design effect) does not exceed 2.6% for indicators close to 50%, 2.2% for close indicators 25%, 1.7% for indicators close to 10%, 1.1% – for indicators close to 5%.
