Over 70 Ukrainians return by ferry from Turkey
On Sunday May 31, 73 Ukrainian citizens left Turkey by ferry on the Karasu – Chernomorsk route.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Embassy in Turkey.
“Coming home is always a joy. It is with such emotions that 73 Ukrainian citizens return home on the Karasu-Chernomorsk ferry, ”said the message.
As previously mentioned, the Embassy and Consulate General in Istanbul organized a transfer of citizens to the port of Karasu. They notably supplied six Ukrainians from Ankara and 31 from Istanbul.
The transfer took place under the curfew announced in certain provinces of Turkey (including Istanbul and Ankara), which provides for a total ban on leaving the house and the need to take a special authorization to travel outside the place of residence.

Turkey completely closed air traffic with other countries at the end of March. Now the ferry is the only regular mode of transportation that provides transportation to Ukraine. Each week UkrFerry operates a flight along the Chernomorsk – Karasu – Chernomorsk route.
