Patients with COVID-19 doctors receive payments of up to 630,000 hryvnias – Stepanov
Payments of up to 630,000 UAH are envisaged for medical personnel suffering from COVID-19.
Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said this at a briefing on June 12, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“If we are talking about specific payments, then if there is an occupational disease of a coronavirus medical worker, then his payments up to 630,000 UAH, depending on the degree of disability, or if the disability has been established Funds are also provided which are paid to the families of the deceased medical workers. “They amount to 1 million 576 thousand UAH,” said Stepanov.
It noted that the government had decided to allocate additional funds to the Social Insurance Fund. This amount of funds is 2 billion 278 million UAH. According to him, these funds were notably paid for payments to medical personnel infected with the coronavirus.

“In addition, COVID-19 has been included in the list of occupational diseases. This is therefore the problem dealt with by the Ministry of Social Policy, and the social insurance fund itself,” added Stepanov.
As Ukrinform reported, on May 20, the Cabinet of Ministers supported the allocation of UA 2.2 billion from the COVID-19 Fund to the Social Insurance Fund for payments to doctors.
According to Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, 471.1 million UAH will be used for material security and insurance payments, including ad hoc assistance to family members of medical workers and other deceased health workers from COVID -19. An additional 1.8 billion UAH is planned for hardware security payments.
As of June 12, 29,753 cases of COVID-19 disease have been laboratory confirmed in Ukraine, 683 new cases have been recorded per day. From COVID-19 during the entire epidemic, 870 people died, 13,567 recovered.
