Petition to President on Distance Education Ban Gets Votes Needed
The petition addressed to President Vladimir Zelensky on the ban on distance education in all educational establishments received the required 25,000 votes.
At 11 am Monday, a petition on the site of the head of state was signed by 25 thousand 321 citizens.
“Children have to go to school, study, communicate with their peers. It is very difficult for parents, children and teachers to take distance training. Children will not be able to acquire full knowledge at home. Therefore, people do not want the government to pass a distance education law. ” – noted in the document.

As reported, since March 12, the government has introduced quarantine in Ukraine to combat the spread of coronavirus infection. Among other measures, in particular, training in educational institutions has been transferred to distance education.
As of May 22, Ukraine announced the next phase of weakening of quarantine. The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to introduce adaptive quarantine in Ukraine from May 22 to June 22. On June 17, the government extended adaptive quarantine until July 31.
