He noted in particular a reduction in crime from 25 to 30%.
“We think this is due to the fact that criminals are also people and want to maintain their health. Gerashchenko also expressed the hope that in May, Ukraine will be able to quarantine, and law enforcement will be able to keep the crime rate under control.
As reported by Ukrinform, since March 12, educational and business establishments have been quarantined in Ukraine, with the exception of grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations and banks. The suspended work on the Kiev, Kharkov and Dnipro metros, as well as interurban and interregional automobile, rail and air services, was halted.
On March 25, the government introduced an emergency regime throughout Ukraine until April 24.
The Cabinet of Ministers also decided to temporarily ban foreigners from entering Ukraine and closed international passenger traffic.
