Police opened file after 38 puppies died on UIA plane
Police in the Kiev region have opened criminal proceedings after reporting in the media that 38 dogs were killed on the plane.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of the Interior.
“A publication appeared in the media stating that a week ago, a plane landed at Toronto International Airport, which flew Kiev-Toronto, with 500 puppies on board. Among them, 38 dogs died, the others suffered from dehydration, “said the report.
It was determined to be a passenger flight, with 92 passengers on board. There were also more than 3 tonnes of goods, including animals.

The case was opened under art. 299 (cruelty to animals) of the Criminal Code. The maximum penalty provided for in this article provides for a prison sentence of 5 to 8 years.
