“The ban on social networks in the aggressor country for three years has proven to be effective. According to the Internet Association of Ukraine, the share of Ukrainian Internet users who visit VKontakte daily increased from 54% to 10%. Over the same period, the daily share of Ukrainian visitors “The classmates” went from 35% to 10%, “he said.
Poroshenko added that the ban “considerably deprives Russia of one of the key tools of the hybrid war against Ukraine, reduces the possibility of infiltrating the ideas of the” Russian world “and brainwashing with propaganda It also reduces the possibility of collecting personal data and going on strike at the work of the Russian special services. “
He also expressed his gratitude to the deputies who convened an extraordinary meeting and voted to express a political position of principle concerning the prohibition of social networks in the aggressor country.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council “On the application, cancellation and introduction of amendments to special economic and other measures personal restrictive measures (sanctions) ”.
Earlier, it was reported that the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine had decided to extend the ban on Russian sites. It provides for the application of restrictive measures (sanctions) against Russian social networks and Internet services, in particular Mail.ru, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki and others.
