Public transport in Ukraine will operate again at the earliest in June.
This was announced by Minister of Infrastructure Vladislav Krikliy in an interview with channel 24, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“If we’re talking about public transportation, I think after quarantine, but it won’t be until June. Since in May we will also see peaks of incidence (Covid-19 – ed.), Therefore, we must pass this period. And when the wave goes down, then it will be possible to update the work of public transport so that it works stably, “said Krikliy.
At the same time, he noted that certain restrictions would still be “if you immediately remove the mask regimen, it seems to me that it may cause a new wave of morbidity”.
“Therefore, according to certain criteria, there will certainly be a certain period, public transport will operate. But from June to July, it is already realistic to think that we will start to work more actively by other means by public transport, “underlined the minister.
