As long as the conflict resolution process in the Donbas is constantly monitored by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian President Vladimir Putin will not dare to continue his escalation in the region.

This statement was made by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Andriy Melnyk. Otherwise, according to the ambassador, the head of the Kremlin will have to pay a “prohibitive price”. The war in eastern Ukraine will end sooner or later with a peaceful settlement.
“Putin is well aware that in this case, the price he will be forced to pay for this attack will be prohibitive” – said the diplomat.
The ambassador underlined the enormous role played by the German chancellor in the de-escalation of the conflict in the Donbass.
Miller expressed confidence that Angela Merkel will fulfill her mission to the end.
“It means that until the end of the war, before peace”, – summed up the Ambassador of Ukraine.
