Quarantine raids: one in four inspections reveals violations
Territorial bodies of the State Service of Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Ukraine check more than 4,000 items daily to ensure that they comply with the requirements of anti-epidemic measures.

“Since June 18, the National Food and Beverage Service has strengthened state control over compliance with health legislation, including anti-epidemic measures. Thus, on June 23, 2020, 4,269 objects were inspected, 650 of which were catering establishments. Each fourth object revealed a violation of compliance with the requirements of the anti-epidemic measures “, – the message said.
Specialists from the National Food and Beverage Service issued violators with 896 orders (proposals), imposed 74 fines, in 189 cases, local authorities and 102 national police departments were informed of the violations detected.

As indicated, in application of Protocol No. 10 of an extraordinary meeting of the State Commission on Technological and Environmental Security and Emergencies of June 13, 2020, the National Food and Beverage Service has strengthened surveillance (monitoring ) the conformity of health legislation in independent external evaluation test centers, pre-school establishments and public catering establishments, objects of trade in food and non-food products, agrifood markets and other objects in accordance with the requirements established for the implementation of anti-epidemic measures for the quarantine period in connection with the spread of coronovirus disease (COVID-19), approved by the decisions of the Chief Medical Officer of Health of the State of Ukraine.
