The Prime Minister has stated that there are areas where the situation with the coronavirus remains difficult and that it is not entirely reasonable to relax the quarantine measures there.
It is reported by the “MFN”.
As you know, during today’s meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, it was decided to extend the quarantine until May 22 … At the same time, from May 11, Ukraine will lift gradually restrictions.
Admittedly, not all regions shine by mitigation: for example, in the regions of Chernivtsi, Ternopol, Ivano-Frankivsk and in Kiev, they can introduce adaptive quarantine. This is because there are the most cases of coronavirus.
This means that the decision to maintain restraint measures or weaken something in these areas will be made separately:
“This is adaptive quarantine … In these three regions and in Kiev, we have to study the situation well and after May 11, we will understand what to do with quarantine in these regions.”
The head of the Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov, also clarified that if, after the weakening of quarantine measures, the situation with the spread of COVID-19 worsens, quarantine measures will be further strengthened. He also agrees with the Prime Minister that in regions with the highest number of cases, quarantine cannot be as relaxed as in other areas.
Recall that we wrote earlier which quarantine measures will weaken from May 11.
