In the general statistics of tests carried out for the COVID-19 coronavirus in Ukraine, data from repeated studies in people with such a diagnosis are now added.
This was announced at a briefing on Saturday by the deputy health minister, chief medical officer of health Viktor Lyashko, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“Previously, we only publish figures from studies selected from suspected coronavirus patients, and now we publish all figures from all studies conducted in virology laboratories to study coronavirus disease. These studies include also studies of people who suffer from coronavirus disease, “said Lyashko, responding to the question of how the reported number of tests per day has increased by almost 13,000.
He explained that a patient with coronavirus during the recovery process, before he can be discharged from the hospital, he must undergo two negative PCR tests. If the coronavirus is not detected twice, it means that the patient has recovered.
