Restaurants will be opened in Ukraine from June 5 and self-isolation for people aged 60 and over will be lifted
Since June 5, the Cabinet of Ministers has authorized the work of public catering establishments, religious events, and has also canceled the obligation to comply with the self-isolation regime for people over 60 years of age.
The decision was taken at a government meeting on June 3, according to correspondent Ukrinform.
“The draft decree of the Council of Ministers amending the decree of the Council of Ministers of May 20, 2020 No. 392 proposes to authorize the work of public catering establishments from June 5, 2020, including the reception of visitors on place, subject to anti-epidemic measures. Authorize religious demonstrations outside, provided that the religious organization maintains a physical distance between participants of at least 1.5 meters and inside, provided that no one remains on 5 square meters of the building surface, “said Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov, presenting the corresponding project.
According to him, the amendments provide for the removal from June 5 of the requirement of self-isolation for people over 60 years.

At the same time, it is proposed to limit leisure activities for children and leisure facilities and to allow the accreditation of educational programs for which applicants for higher education are trained at a distance, as well as the decision on the conditional accreditation of educational programs with or without a partial accreditation exam, as of September 1, 2020.
“It is also planned to provide that if the epidemic situation in the region does not weaken anti-epidemic measures for three consecutive days, the TEC and emergency regional commission will meet in an extraordinary meeting and will decide to cancel the weakening of certain anti-epidemic measures, depending on the situation in the region, “said Stepanov.

As reported, on March 12, the government introduced quarantine in Ukraine to combat the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection. The commercial establishments were closed, with the exception of grocery stores, pharmacies, petrol stations and banks. The works of the Kiev, Kharkov and Dnipro metros have been stopped, the circulation of land transport in cities, interurban and interregional automobile, rail and air services has been stopped.
On May 11, the first stage of the weakening of quarantine began. At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers has authorized certain trade and consumer services institutions to work. The second phase of quarantine mitigation began on May 22. Until June 22, Ukraine will have adaptive quarantine.
From 1 June, rail passenger transport in urban, regional, interregional and interregional road passenger traffic has resumed.
