Samsung’s midrange provides Redmi 8, which reaches a diffusion rate of 1.9%, and Samsung Galaxy S20 + which, with a market share of 1.7%, is also the only Android version in the top 6 distributed by Strategy Analytics. To complete the list of best-selling Android smartphones, we find the entry level Samsung Galaxy A10s and last year’s bestsellero Redmi Note 8, with a market share of 1.6%, and Galaxy A20s, with a spread of 1.4%.
Recall that in a recent Canalys report on overall smartphone market sales in the first quarter of 2020, the championship was before the iPhone 11, followed by a series of Redmi Note 8 (which includes both Note 8 and Note 8T) and Galaxy A51. The role of Xiaomi and Samsung in the Android market, therefore, now belongs to the absolute heroes with entry-level and intermediate levels, which, with the exception of S20 + (which would record sales data below expected), are the most popular models.
