Samsung Galaxy Note 9, May released security patches

Update in sight for Samsung Galaxy Note 9: At the end of 2018, a new package actually appeared at the top of the range, containing Android security patches, updated until May. In fact, this is the same update that we have already seen on the latest flagships since the end of April and which only yesterday also appeared on the Galaxy S9.

Specifically, let’s talk about the firmware version N960FXXS5DTE2: while we are writing to you, the first feedback comes from Germany, but, as is customary now, it will be shortly before arriving in Italy (we can assume by the weekend).

Recall that in this case, the update is based on Android 10, but with the version of One UI 2.0: 2.1, as it now seems certain, even in the absence of official confirmations, it will also be released for Samsung Galaxy Note 9in stable version during the month of June. This update also fixes 19 vulnerabilities present in its personalization, which Samsung spoke about in the traditional newsletter of the beginning of the month.

Those who are especially in a hurry to update their device can manually check for firmware by selecting “Download and Install” if the above version is displayed in the “Settings” menu with “Software Update”.
