The economic crisis that hit the European market is shuffling cards in the tablet market. According to IDC, during the first quarter of 2020Samsung vs. Apple for tablets sold in the EMEA region which also includes the European market and Italy.
In particular, Samsung sold a total of 2.16 million units cwith a market share of 24.5% and a fall of -2.3% compared to last year. Apple, however, settled on 2.1 million units with a market share of 23.8% and a percentage drop of -9.3% compared to the previous year.
Third position for Huawei which is slightly higher than the height 1 million units sold with a decrease of -4.8% compared to last year. In contrast, in fourth place, we find Lenovo which reaches a height 671 thousand units sold with an increase of + 4.2%. Positive data also for Microsoft what comes to 351 thousand units sold growth record + 19.6%.
