During the quarantine period, the Security Service of Ukraine detected 79 people who spread fakes on the coronavirus, 4 of which were Internet agitators acting on the instructions of the Russian side.

“Thus, specialists in the Department of Counter-Intelligence for the Protection of State Interests in the Field of Information Security exposed the activities of the pro-Russian” cyberactivists “from Odessa, Dnipro, Lviv and Kherson The investigation is being carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Article 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, “said the report.

It should be noted that 28 other people, as well as the national police, have already been placed under administrative responsibility under art. 173-1 (propagation of false rumors that can cause panic in the population or disturbances of public order) KUoAP.

In addition, SBU cyber specialists have blocked the distribution of bogus content in more than 1,000 Internet communities, which in general have more than 500,000 subscribers.

In case of confirmation of information on the planned actions of the attackers, in particular, in accordance with the instructions of the conservatives of the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territories, they will be recycled in accordance with the relevant articles of the Ukrainian Criminal Code.

The press center also underlined that the SBU is now oriented towards a global and proactive approach to combat abuse due to a pandemic and prevent destabilization in the country. In particular, the SBU pays particular attention to the fight against the export of anti-epidemic products banned by the government.

In particular, according to the report, the security services prevented an attempt to smuggle 80,000 respiratory masks worth more than 3.4 million hryvnias and nearly 40,000 medical gowns worth 42,000 euros from Ukraine to EU countries.

In addition, the SBU blocked the activities of an organized group that imported poor-quality drugs and rapid false tests for the diagnosis of COVID-19 in Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced a state of emergency across Ukraine on March 25 and continued the quarantine initiated on March 12 to prevent the spread of COVID-19 until April 24. .

In Ukraine, on the morning of March 30, 480 cases of coronavirus infection were officially confirmed, including 11 fatal, 6 patients recovered. During the day, 62 new cases were recorded.
