In Ukraine, the school year due to quarantine due to the coronavirus epidemic will end at a distance.

This was reported by the Ministry of Education and Science.

“The school year in schools across the country will end at a distance. The training calendar will look like this: the courses will be held until May 31; the school year should be completed by July 1; schools will complete enrollment by June 15: basic secondary education certificates; proof of achievement and timesheets; during the month of June, school boards plan to transfer students to the upper class ” , indicates the report.

As noted, graduates of 11 classes will receive an education document after passing the GIA in the form of UPE.

If students in Grades 1 to 8 and 10 do not plan to study at another educational institution, schools will send copies of the documents to students by email and the original documents will be published in September 2020 -2021 of the school year.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science reported that this year the final state certification for students in grades 4 and 9 had been canceled.

Regarding solemn farewells at school, given the coronavirus epidemic, “during the academic year 2019/2020, the Ministry of Education and Science recommends refraining from organizing public events, especially recent calls and graduation parties. “

The ministry also recalled that all information related to changes in the education system due to quarantine was collected on a separate resource –, and UPR participants who live in another region or in a distance of more than 150 kilometers from the educational establishment may change the location of the passage of the UPE.

As Ukrinform reported, since March 12, the government has introduced quarantine in Ukraine to combat the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection. Classes in schools and universities have been suspended and students have been transferred to distance education and business establishments have been closed, with the exception of grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations and banks. Work suspended in the Kiev, Kharkov and Dnipro metros, land transport in cities, interurban and interregional automobile, rail and air services has been halted.

Today, the government has extended the quarantine until May 22, but from May 11 – the relaxation of restrictions.

As of May 4, according to the cost center, in Ukraine, 12,331 cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed in the laboratory, in particular 303 fatalities, 1,619 patients recovered. 418 new cases were recorded per day.
