Former President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk described the negotiations in Minsk on the settlement of the conflict in the Donbass as “incapable”. He believes that Ukraine should initiate the creation of a new format for the Donbas negotiations. According to Kravchuk, for negotiations to be effective in France and Germany, the United States and Great Britain must join.
This is reported by the NPF, referring to Lenta.ua.
Former President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk believes that Ukraine should create a new format for the Donbas negotiations. According to him, Ukraine should declare that the Minsk agreements do not work, but Ukraine should not make this declaration itself, but with France and Germany.
Kravtchouk believes that Ukraine cannot unilaterally declare Minsk ineffective, otherwise, according to Kravtchouk, “it will detach Putin’s hands”.
“Putin will accuse Ukraine the same day of ruining the negotiation process,” said Kravchuk.
According to the first president of Ukraine, Kiev should act with European countries and the United States.
“When we, with France, Germany, the United States and Great Britain, draft a new format, then everything will be different. It is important that in this format, the Russian Federation appears as an aggressor country, ”said Kravchuk.
Kravchuk does not deny that the Russian Federation will in all respects hinder the creation of a new format for the negotiations on the Donbass. But despite this, Kravchuk believes that the president’s team should work and negotiate with Western leaders.
Earlier, we reported that Gryzlov had promised residents of the Ordlo region “to establish a peaceful life” in the Donbass.
