The Kiev Pechersk court rejected the challenge by judge Vitaliy Pisants to the suspect’s lawyer in the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet Yulia Kuzmenko – Taras Bespaly.

The lawyer himself said so in a comment to a Ukrinform correspondent.

“They denied the dismissal of investigating judge Pisanets, they did not explain the motivation. As a result, only the short text of the decision, the full text will be in 5 days. The dispute has been examined by judge Sokolov At 9:30 p.m. the examination of the request for detention will continue for two months “- he noted.

Earlier, the judge of the Pechersk district court Vitaly Pisantsu, who should choose a preventive measure to the doctor and volunteer Yulia Kuzmenko, his lawyer Taras Bespaly announced a challenge.

In addition, according to Bespaly, he doubts the objective self-distribution of the case to judge Pisanets, who should have examined the request for an extension of the detention of all the defendants in the case of the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet – Andrei Antonenko, Yulia Kuzmenko and Yana Dugar.

As indicated, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov announced on December 12, 2019 the detention and the suspicion of the accused in the case of the murder of Sheremet.

On May 22, another lawyer for Dugar, Nikolai Orekhovsky, said that the preliminary investigation into the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet was finished.
