Sheremet case suspects have access to case documents – Interior Ministry
Copies of the investigation into the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet were prepared by all of the suspects and their lawyers.

“Currently, copies of all pre-trial investigation documents have been prepared for suspects and their defenders in criminal proceedings. Lawyers can access them on working days as in the Main Investigation Department of the Ukrainian national police, “the statement said.
As reported to the Ministry of the Interior, 38 volumes of preliminary investigation material against the suspects Andrei Antonenko, Yulia Kuzmenko and Yana Dugar have been separated in separate proceedings and opened for examination.
“The preliminary investigation into the intentional murder of Pavel Sheremet lasted 1,402 days. The production documents include more than two hundred volumes: 38 volumes – concerning three suspects, more than 200 – to identify other defendants, organizers and clients of this crime, “said the Interior Ministry.
As indicated, during the preliminary investigation, almost 20,000 hours of video were processed, more than 3,000 people were interviewed, nearly 44,000 subscriber numbers, 15,000 IMEIs and 400 follow-ups were processed ( in each follow-up – from 4,000 to 200,000 subscriber connections).
In addition, 180 separate investigations (searches) were carried out in accordance with court decisions, 106 in-depth examinations were designated.
“As a result, during the preliminary investigation, sufficient evidence was gathered to declare a suspicion of the intentional murder of Pavel Sheremet and to choose a preventive measure against Yulia Kuzmenko, Andrei Antonenko and Yana Dugar,” the ministry said. ‘Interior.
According to Ukrinform, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov announced on December 12, 2019, the detention and the announcement of the suspects’ suspicions in the case of the Sheremet murder.
The investigation suspects doctor and volunteer Yulia Kuzmenko, the nurse of one of the paratrooper battalions Yana Dugar and ATO veteran Andrei Antonenko.
On May 22, lawyer Nikolai Orekhovsky announced the completion of the preliminary inquiry into the murder of Pavel Sheremet.

On May 25, the Pechersk court in Kiev granted the request of the prosecutors and modified the preventive measure of Yana Dugar, suspected of the murder of the journalist Pavel Sheremet, of the house arrest for a bail of 168,000 hryvnias.
Lawyer Dugar Vitaliy Kolomiyets later said that more than 500 people had transferred the amount necessary to post bail for Dugar in less than 24 hours.
Kuzmenko and Antonenko are now in prison.
Journalist Pavel Sheremet died on July 20, 2016 in Kiev following a car explosion.
