Six Iranians arrested in UIA plane shot down
Currently, six defendants have been arrested in Iran in connection with the UIA plane crash, which was killed near Tehran airport on January 8.

“A representative of the judiciary (Iran – ed.) Golamhossein Esmayili said that six defendants were currently detained in connection with the crash of a Ukrainian plane, three of whom were released on bail and three others are in detention,” said the press release.
According to him, the judicial authorities, in particular the Judicial Organization of the Armed Forces, are responsible for the case of the crash of the Ukrainian plane.

“As soon as the incident happened (with the UIA plane), orders were issued and a special branch was appointed within the judicial organization of the Armed Forces,” said Esmaily.
As you know, January 8, 2020 after departure from Tehran airport. Imam Khomeini was shot dead by two UIA planes. On board were 176 people, all dead. Among them, 11 Ukrainians – two passengers and nine crew members. The passengers on the airliner were citizens of Iran, Canada, Sweden, Afghanistan and the United Kingdom.
The official representative of Iran in the international civil aviation organization agreed in March to transfer the flight recorders to France or Ukraine for analysis, but so far this has not been done.
