The new Ukrainian Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov considers the fight against the coronavirus and the completion of medical reform to be a priority in his work.
This was announced by the head of the department on March 31 during a meeting with ministry staff, reports the press service of the Ministry of Health.
“There is a lot of work to be done. The first priority is the fight against coronaviruses. I don’t want to blame anyone for anything, but there is some waste of time in terms of preparing for a pandemic. We can no longer afford to waste time. Therefore, it is imperative to establish communication with local health facilities. The second priority is medical reform. I think it is entirely possible to make changes so that patients and doctors at all levels are satisfied with the reform, “said Stepanov.
As reported by Ukrinform, on March 30, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Maxim Stepanov as Minister of Health. 246 deputies voted for.
