The Ministry of Health has understood that with the introduction of quarantine steps, the number of patients with COVID-19 could increase, specialists are monitoring the situation and carrying out an epidemiological investigation into each case.

Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said this at a briefing on June 4, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.

“Today, on the one hand, we have a record for the number of people who have recovered, 602 people and a non-record for the number of confirmed confirmed cases, 588 for the entire pandemic. When we introduced mitigation measures, quarantine exits, including the use of adaptive quarantine, certain signs in the context of each region, we understood that there would be a slight increase in the number of patients. fully controls the situation, for each case we have an epidemiological analysis: we analyze both the general number and almost all cases of the disease – in what way, the circle of people who were in contact, at the same time we let’s increase the number of tests, “said Stepanov.

According to the minister, the day before, 14,301 tests were carried out, including 10,563 by PCR and 3,738 ELISA tests.

He recalled that the mitigation of quarantine is clearly regulated by anti-epidemiological measures and called for compliance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

“It is the use of personal protective equipment, it is the use of antiseptics, it is respect for social distance. All these measures are designed to reduce the risk of infection, to exclude the “infection. They should be observed. Otherwise, we will see an increase in the number of patients, and, therefore, the Ministry of Health will recommend the introduction of certain additional measures,” said Stepanov.

As Ukrinform reported, in the past day, 588 people fell ill, overall, 25,411 people fell ill during the pandemic in Ukraine.

Since March 12, the government has introduced quarantine in Ukraine to fight the spread of coronavirus infection. In particular, the underground works in Kiev, Kharkov and Dnipro have been stopped, the circulation of land transport in cities.

The first relaxation of quarantine restrictions in Ukraine began on May 11.

From May 22, Ukraine announced the next phase of weakening of quarantine. The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to introduce adaptive quarantine in Ukraine from May 22 to June 22.
