Stepanov commented on the “requirements” of kindergartens for parents in case of COVID-19
Parents should not buy protective equipment for children in kindergartens, as this should be done by the administration of the institution.
This was announced during a briefing on June 7 by Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“When purchasing antiseptics, purchasing masks and other items used in kindergartens in connection with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and existing quarantine restrictions, this should be done exclusively by the administration of the institution, exclusively by the owners of this institution. Nowhere is it stipulated that parents should buy it “- says Stepanov.
He noted that the requirements of the certificates and certain letters in the kindergartens of parents that they would not have to claim in case of infection of their child with a coronavirus is an initiative of the management of the kindergarten. children and is not provided for in any regulatory document in Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov had previously stated that responsibility for monitoring epidemic measures in kindergartens rests with the local authorities and that the owners, if the establishments are private, were controlled by the National Food and Beverage Service.
As of June 7, 26,999 cases of COVID-19 have been laboratory confirmed in Ukraine. 485 new cases were recorded per day.
