Stepanov explained how doctors distributed supplements to doctors
The chief medical officer of a medical facility determines how much is paid to a particular medical worker who works with patients with coronavirus.
This was announced during a briefing by Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“If we are talking about coronavirus medical workers, the staff of these medical workers is determined by the chief medical officer in particular. As the head of a medical facility, he receives money for the treatment of patients with coronavirus, which takes into account 300% of the salaries of the medical personnel. And they already determine which doctor is paid, including if a doctor who is not part of the staff of this institution, but who has a certain mechanism, how to do it and pay “The chief medical officer determines this directly,” said Stepanov.
He noted that the task of the Ministry of Health was to provide funds at 300 percent of the salary of all medical workers involved in the treatment of patients with coronavirus.

As Ukrinform pointed out, according to data from regional state administrations which were supplied to the Ministry of Health, in 18 oblasts, the premiums paid to doctors working with COVID-19 amounting to 300% of the salary in March have been paid in full.
In Ukraine, 16,847 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 456 fatal, 4,143 patients have recovered. 422 new cases were recorded per day.
