Stepanov explained how the decision is made to leave emergency medical care to the patient

The decision to leave emergency medical care to the patient is made according to a clear algorithm.

This was announced at an information meeting on Tuesday April 14, reports Health Minister Maxim Stepanov, a correspondent for Ukrinform.

“We have developed a very clear algorithm for responding to emergency medical care. Therefore, the dispatcher must perform the surveys to determine which clinical symptoms. For example, it is a very persistent fever, a fever high, or there are big breathing problems or pain behind the sternum. That is, a very clear algorithm is investigated and a decision is made to leave emergency medical care, “said Stepanov.

He noted that there are isolated cases of dispatcher disregard for the algorithm or cases where the caller does not clearly determine their symptoms.

But Stepanov stressed that these are isolated cases and that the Ministry of Health reacts very clearly to prevent them in the future.

According to the cost center, at 9 a.m. on April 14 in Ukraine, 3,372 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which 98 were fatal, 119 patients recovered. 270 new cases registered per day
