Stepanov inspects hospitals in the Lviv region
On Monday, June 22, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov will inspect medical facilities in the Lviv region that provide care to patients with COVID-19, due to the high incidence in the region.
This was announced by the Minister of Health during a daily briefing on June 22, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“Last week we observed a high incidence in the Lviv region. Today we have 200 patients in Lviv, the total number of confirmed cases is 3980 for the whole pandemic. This is a very large number, and today I am with my deputy and with the best experts we are in the Lviv region in order to resolve the problem, provide appropriate assistance, take decisions on improving the epidemiological situation and on developments of treatment in various institutions, “said Stepanov.
He added that the results of the inspection will be released immediately after the end of visits to hospitals directly providing medical care to patients with COVID-19.
According to the Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov announced during a briefing that on June 22, the highest number of COVID-19 cases per day in the Lviv region was 200 people, Rivne – 91 people, Volyn – 70 people.

As Ukrinform reported, as of June 22, 37,241 cases of COVID-19 had been laboratory confirmed in Ukraine, 681 new cases per day. 16,642 people recovered, fatal cases – 1,012.
