Stepanov spoke about the requirements for foreigners who will arrive after “the opening of the sky”
For citizens of other countries where the epidemiological situation is worse than in Ukraine, it is planned to establish an obligation to undergo a 14-day self-isolation.
This was announced at an information meeting on June 10 by Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov,
“Now we are considering arrival options in order to have a red zone and a green zone. The red zone is the countries where the epidemiological situation is worse than in Ukraine. The green zone is the countries where the situation is the even in Ukraine, or better. These are our preliminary thoughts, and then an appropriate decision will be made. But now, with regard to the red zone, we think they (citizens coming from the countries of the ” red zone “- editor’s note) should be in solitary confinement for 14 days, or people in the” green zone “, that is to say countries where the epidemiological situation is better than in Ukraine, will not need to stay isolated. Of course, all this with respect for other anti-epidemic measures that we have implemented: heat shields and the rest “- says Stepanov.
He noted that the situation of COVID-19 in other countries, in particular in the EU countries, is being analyzed, a similar experiment is being studied, consultations are under way with specialists. The development of an effective mechanism to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease after resumption of flights, according to Stepanov, will be similar to that proposed by other countries.
