Activist Sergei Sternenko and other activists organized a rally near the house of Attorney General Irina Venediktova in Kiev.

Under the house on Kruglouniversitetskaya Street, where the Attorney General resides, there were several hundred demonstrators.

Sternenko previously stated that he would go to the Attorney General to ask him how to comply with the court order, which was sent to him under house arrest at the registration address, and this is a unit military in Odessa, and he will not be allowed to go there.
The activist said he had the attorney general’s phone number and tried to reach her several times, but they did not answer him.
Then he noted that “it is worth going to the president’s office … to go to Zelensky’s house”.

At the same time, he said that in the morning, a new hearing would be scheduled at the Shevchenkovsky district court in Kiev due to the impossibility of complying with the court decision on the preventive measure.
“It turns out that in the morning they will organize a new hearing before the court due to the impossibility of executing this court decision. At 8:00 am, they should determine who and when will examine this request,” said Sternenko.

Reminder: on June 15, the Shevchenkovsky District Court in Kiev chose Sternenko as a preventive measure in the form of house arrest. At the same time, according to the activist, the place of the house arrest, the court decision indicated “a military unit in Odessa”, at the place of registration, but they did not let him go because he this is a sensitive installation. “
“This decision cannot be executed,” said the activist and noted that prosecutors could then “request detention” for his non-compliance.
Sternenko announced on June 11 a suspected crime under art. 115 h.1 (intentional and unlawful infliction of death on another person) and art. 263 para. 2 (transport of cold steel without the authorization provided for by law) of the Criminal Code.

On the evening of May 24, 2018, two assailants attacked Sternenko and his girlfriend. While pushing back, the activist fatally wounded one of them with a knife in the stomach. Sternenko himself and the second attacker were stabbed and wounded, which the police quickly arrested, but immediately released, granting him witness status and then state protection.
