Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk commented on the insults addressed to him by the former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder. According to Melnik, no matter how Schroeder tried to whitewash his image, he will be remembered as someone who puts pressure on Moscow’s interests in Europe.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk reacted to the fact that former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder had insulted him. Schroeder, as you know, called the Ukrainian diplomat “a kind of dwarf from Ukraine”.
Andrey Melnyk said that Schroeder had insulted not only him, but all Ukrainians. He advised Schroeder not to become personal. Melnik also advised Schroeder to honestly admit to his people that his position was “dependent on Russian charges”.
According to the Ukrainian diplomat, despite all of Schroeder’s efforts, the European Union will not lift the sanctions against the Russian Federation.

Schroeder called the Ukrainian diplomat “a kind of dwarf from Ukraine”.
