Ukrainians who lost their jobs during the quarantine period can use the subsidy program in a simplified way.

“In order to strengthen social protection, Ukrainians who have lost their jobs during the quarantine period can take advantage of the subsidy program to pay for housing and municipal services in a simplified way,” the statement said.
As noted by the Minister of Social Policy, Marina Lazebnaya, given the difficult epidemiological situation, the Cabinet of Ministers is proposing new social protection programs for the population.
This concerns in particular the increase in social payments and subsidies for the payment of housing and municipal services.

Thus, according to the minister, 10.6 million Ukrainians will receive one-off monetary aid in the amount of 1,000 hryvnia, which will not be taken into account when the grant is awarded.
Also, from May 1, the indexation of pensions of 11% will be carried out and a monthly supplementary pension will be fixed for 1.5 million retirees over 80 years of age.
In addition, as the Minister noted, for 3.2 million households, additional compensation for the costs of paying for certain public services during the quarantine period was established.
As Ukrinform reported, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced an emergency regime throughout Ukraine on March 25 and extended the quarantine introduced on March 12 to prevent the spread of COVID-19 until April 24. .
